Jon Wilder Sportsman’s Challenge 2026
Friendly Competition Highlights Another Successful Philmont Tradition
The Philmont Rod & Gun Club was proud to host the 2026 Jon Wilder Sportsman’s Challenge on Tuesday, June 23rd, bringing together members for an evening of friendly competition, outdoor sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
Named in honor of longtime club member Jon Wilder, the annual Sportsman’s Challenge tests participants in a variety of outdoor skills, making it one of the club’s most enjoyable and anticipated events. Competitors demonstrated their marksmanship and sportsmanship while enjoying an evening filled with laughter, challenge, and fellowship.
This year’s competition featured a close contest among three seasoned “veteran” sportsmen, with the final standings coming down to the last events of the evening.
