The Philmont Rod & Gun Club is excited to announce plans for a new Outdoor Archery Practice Range coming in 2026!
This new addition to the archery program will provide members with a dedicated space to practice their archery skills, sight in equipment, and enjoy another great outdoor recreational opportunity at the club.
More details, construction updates, and opening information will be shared as the project progresses. Stay tuned for exciting developments as we continue to enhance the club for our members and the next generation of sportsmen and sportswomen.

3D Archery
The Philmont Rod & Gun Club hosts exciting 3D Archery Shoots on select Sundays throughout the spring and summer seasons. Each event features a challenging 30-target course set in realistic hunting scenarios, providing archers of all skill levels with an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Philmont Rod & Gun Club is proud to be a member of the Hudson Valley Archery Association (HVAA), a partnership of local clubs dedicated to promoting and enhancing the sport of 3D archery throughout the region. The HVAA includes:
- Glencadia Rod & Gun Club
- Philmont Rod & Gun Club
- Buckhorn Archers at Stockbridge Sportsman’s Club
- Tri-Village Bowhunters
By working together, these clubs provide archers with more opportunities to compete, improve their skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of the archery community. Whether you’re attending your first shoot or are a familiar face on the course, we look forward to welcoming you to Philmont and sharing another great season of archery.

Cubs – up to age 11 are free.
As always, food will be available: Breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, chips, soda. Each month we will likely have something else like sausage and peppers, pulled pork etc. Donations of a tray of food are always welcome!
